Transfer rumours: Messi, Haaland, Mbappe, Lukaku, Dembele, Boateng, Ashley Young

Premier League leaders Manchester City will not make a move for Argentina forward Lionel Messi until the 33-year-old makes it clear that he wants to leave Barcelona.

Paris St-Germain are putting pressure on Kylian Mbappe to sign a new deal, but the France forward, 22, does not want the contract to be too long.

Barcelona and Real Madrid may be priced out of a deal for Borussia Dortmund and Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland. The 20-year-old wants a salary of 35m euros (£30m) a year.

Chelsea are prepared to offer 100m euros (£86.3m) for Inter Milan's Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, 27, should the Blues fail to sign Borussia Dortmund's Norwegian striker Erling Braut Haaland, 20.

Barcelona want to extend France forward Ousmane Dembele's contract until 2025 before the summer. The La Liga club intend to make the 23-year-old - whose current deal expires in 2022 - available in the transfer market if no agreement can be reached.

Bayern Munich have confirmed German defender Jerome Boateng, 32, will leave the club when his contract expires this summer.

Watford are set to offer former winger Ashley Young, 35, a one-year deal if they are promoted back to the Premier League. The English player's contract at Inter Milan runs out this summer.

Real Madrid are not prepared to sell 22-year-old Norway midfielder Martin Odegaard, who is on loan at Arsenal until the end of the season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to make his acting debut, as the character ‘Antivirus’

Zlatan himself announced the news on Twitter today. He will be playing a character called Antivirus alongside a host of Hollywood regulars.

At 39-years-old, Zlatan Ibrahimovic might be starting to think about what will come next for him when he finishes his playing career.

Known for his outlandish claims and maverick presence, it might be difficult for the AC Milan forward to see himself taking the well-worn manager or pundit route.

According film magazine Deadline, Ibrahimovic will be making his feature film bow in the upcoming production of Asterix and Obelisk: The Middle Kingdom. It is the fifth in the well known series of French-language films.

The movie is directed by Guillaume Canet - who also stars as Asterix, with Gilles Lellouche as Obelisk. In addition, Vincent Cassel, of Ocean's 12 fame, is Cesar, and Marion Cotillard, of Inception, Batman, and many, many more, is Cleopatra.

Ramzy Bedia, Julie Chen, Linh-Dan Pham, and Pierre Richard fill the other featured roles, with filming set to take place in France and Morocco after a plan to do so in China was scuppered.

Ibrahimovic is following in a long tradition of footballers going into acting, with Vinnie Jones in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, Frank Lebouf in The Theory Of Everything, and, of course most famously of all, Chris Kamara in Emmerdale.

Production of the film was due to take place last year but was delayed due to the pandemic. With a budget of over 60mn euros ($71mn), it is already shaping up to be one of the biggest French productions.

The striker is Milan’s top scorer with 17 goals in all competitions this season and he is yet to agree a new contract, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the campaign.

For now, AC Milan supporters will hope that Ibrahimovic's move into acting won't distract him from their efforts to qualify for the Champions League.

They are currently second in Serie A, four points ahead of fifth placed Napoli.
