Real Madrid new shirts for the 2018/19 season

The Spanish giants released their new strips just days after lifting a third consecutive Champions League trophy.

Real Madrid and Adidas have presented the capital city club's new shirts for the 2018/19 season.Players such as Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Marcelo, Nacho and Keylor Navas modelled the new jerseys, with this year's home shirt featuring black stripes, as opposed the turquoise of the 2017/18 campaign.

Los Blancos have made very little changes to their home jersey, simply just changing the sponsorship name, adidas logo and shoulder stripes from blue to black.

The away kit is a dark grey and, unlike the home one, has a V-neck and no buttons.

There was, however, no room for Cristiano Ronaldo.

After Real's emphatic 3-1 win over Jurgen Klopp's side, Ronaldo dropped a huge hint that his future could be away from Madrid, saying: 'In the coming days there will be answer about my future. It has been very nice playing for Real Madrid.
'In the next few days I will give an answer. Now we have to enjoy the moment. The future of any player is not important. We have made history.'

His absence from the kit launch will add fuel to the fire when it concerns his next move, with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United keeping tabs on the striker.
The 33-year-old didn't even appear on the club's shop on their website, while the rest of his team-mates did.
Despite being in the advert, Bale is still likely to move away from Real unless he is able to secure more playing time under Zinedine Zidane.

The Portuguese star is usually the centre of attention during Los Blancos promotional material, but he has not been photographed in the 2018/19 shirt, sparking fears over his future.

The 33-year-old cast doubt over his future at the Bernabeu following the Champions League final, but it remains to be seen whether he would consider engineering a high-profile transfer away from the club.

After securing a third-straight Champions League title, both Bale and Ronaldo threw their futures at the club into doubt with their post-match comments.
